History  Founded in 1846 as a consequence of the impact of the Disruption of the Established Church of Scotland on its colonial affiliate "The Synod of Australia in connection with the Established Church of Scotland", the PCEA absorbed the parallel body in Victoria, the Free Presbyterian Church of Victoria, in 1953. The PCEA has ties with the Free Church of Scotland and is a member of the ICRC.
